What: A terrific Shabbaton weekend of fun, camaraderie, spiritual growth, entertainment and great food
When: September 13-15, 2024
Where: Camp Wise-Chardon, 13164 Taylor Wells Road, Chardon Township, Ohio (about 50 minutes east of downtown Cleveland and 30-40 minutes from Beachwood, Ohio).
http://www.campwise.org/
Cost: $150 for 1st time attendees and $200 for returning attendees.
The regional retreat is a special opportunity for us to gather together as Jewish men to celebrate Shabbat while developing new and stronger friendships, bonding over games, music, sport and the outdoors, supporting and learning from each other, and enjoying time away from the hustle-and-bustle of daily life.
Camp Wise is one of the nation’s leading Jewish overnight summer camps, run by the Mandel JCC in Cleveland. We will be staying in cabins, and enjoying the other facilities, activities, trails and grounds of the camp, much of which is close to the cabins. However, for those who prefer the comfort of hotel rooms, we have reserved a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn in Mayfield Village, about 25 minutes away. Booking and paying for those rooms, as well as returning to the camp for activities, is separate and in addition to the cost of the retreat, and is solely the responsibility of those individuals who desire them.
Camp Wise is strictly kosher. Registration includes Friday Shabbat dinner, Saturday morning breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Sunday breakfast. Any snacks or additional food that is brought into the camp must carry a hecksher and be unopened. Wine must be kosher. Beer and liquor is permitted.
The rooms at the Holiday Inn Cleveland-Mayfield are $116/night. Use Code FJM to obtain this special rate.

Retreat is a wonderful and pressure-free opportunity to not only daven together but also to test out new skills, and experiment. We encourage anyone who wishes to stretch their talents to do so.
However, while this weekend is still a Jewish retreat and Shabbaton, we want to focus more on camaraderie, and to make our services comfortable, relatable and enjoyable for all, while still observing and celebrating our Judaism.
